Review: Another purchase from Zalora Malaysia

In March 2013, I bought two pair of flat shoes from Zalora Malaysia. This time, I bought another pair of flats because one of the earlier pairs was already on the verge of breaking apart. :(
So as I was browsing the Zalora website, I came across this cute pair of flats:

Tadaah~~~! It finally arrived at my place.
Just like last time, my shoes came in an unceremonious box

I got the Round Toe Ballerina with Contrast Bow by Velvet (brand) in beige/pink for RM39.00 ($11.7 USD) and that is not including 10% discount. I got it in size EU 39. The previous two pairs I got were in size EU 38 and they were initially perfect on me but over the time they feel too tight so this time I decided to get one size larger. However it ends up a little loose on me so I had to add a bit of padding.
The shoes are made of synthetic leather, which is fine for me. The round toecap has scallop panel design and a bow (I love it!). And you can see the brand's logo on the insole.
I can't actually say much about the shoes' durability since I have not worn it outdoors but from what I see, it seems to be well-made and it will last for some time, probably a year or two, depending on usage.
Checkouts and Shipping
I am not too happy with the checkout options because even though it offers PayPal as an option, the option to use the available fund on the PayPal account is disabled, to my chagrin. Moreover, if you exit the PayPal page without actually completing the payment, the order is still registered in the My Order page even though there is no money being charged. This can actually cause a bit of confusion because I initially thought I had accidentally paid twice when I closed the browser tab without completing the payment the first time round. The good thing is, the unpaid order will eventually be removed from the My Order page.
Also, if you used a coupon code during the checkout and you didn't complete the order, the coupon code is considered 'has been used up'. That sort of annoy me because I can't use it for the actual purchase. :( However, there was another coupon code that I could use so at least I wasn't too disappointed.
On the other hand, I'm satisfied with the shipping. For only RM30.00 (that's approximately $9 USD), I can have the shoes shipped to me via DHL. Yes you read that right, speedy shipping for less than $10 USD! The flats were shipped to me on the 20th of January and it arrived on my doorstep on the 22nd. For that, I give Zalora a thumbs up. :) Plus I also get a 10% voucher for my next purchase, and a 25% discount voucher to give away to a first time shopper.
Price breakdown
Shoes = RM 39.00
Shipping = RM 30.00
Total = RM 69.00 - 10% discount = RM 65.10 or $19.5 USD
So overall, it is a positive shopping experience. I do look forward to purchasing from Zalora Malaysia again, as I'm eyeing a couple of stuff they have on the website. :)Labels: online shopping, ZaloraMY

Payment has to be made to either by PayPal, or Moneybookers.
However, if you choose to pay via (international) bank transfer, be aware that you may be charged for the transfer service.
Other important information
Throughout the designing process, I may need to refer back to you for questions/opinions so do check your email frequently. This is to ensure the design can be done as soon as possible.
Depending on the design, your template make take up to over 1 (one) week to finish. You will be informed once the template is done.
I will send you an email requesting for the payment after the template is done. Once the payment is received, I will email you the complete template along with the necessary files.
All of my designs/templates will come with a credit section. This section must be left intact and you may not remove nor alter them. Resources that come with the designs/templates may not be redistributed or reproduced.
