Titanic 3D
Watching Titanic 3D with Leon

Went to watch Titanic 3D with Leon this afternoon. After over a decade, it's interesting to watch the film again. You bet I did cry, but this time, not because of Jack and Rose (I got over those romance bits long ago), but rather because of the terrible fate that was waiting for the passengers, especially the ones who were in the third-class. Most of them got onto the ship with the hope of starting a new life in America and when the ship went down, it took with it everything that these people owned. And there were also the crews, most of them were the breadwinners of their families. With them gone, what will happen to the families they left behind. The cries of the doomed victims (in the film, I mean) were horrible, and I can't imagine what it was like in real life. Even for the survivors, the memory of that night will forever be imprinted in their lives.

Also, from the film, I could see the difference in the living style between the first-class and the third-class passengers. The second-class cabins were not shown though (because they were not necessary for the film), but we can just fill in the gap with our imaginations. Anyway, the first-class travellers had everything they needed on the ship; it was practically a floating hotel. Not that I begrudge them the luxury since in the end (Titanic's end, I mean), all that mattered was the safety of your own skin, but while it lasted, it is amazing how money and status can define your position in the society. Still, the third-class travellers on the Titanic were faring off better than they would be on other ships.

So did I enjoy the film? I guess I did though I actually feel the first half of the film was rather slow compared to the second half when the ship started to sink. Now that I'm old enough to understand the whole scenario (even going as far as pointing out the errors in the film - like the King of the World bit), I see the film to be a lot more educational (despite the said errors) rather than as an entertainment.

titanic the #1 rank romantic film 4ever

Haha is it? After more than 10 years, film ni masih romantik tahap dewa ke? :D

Dear, at first I was quite surprise why this film ditayangkan lagi sekali di Cinema. Dalam bentuk 3D lagi tu. Plan nak tengok tapi hubby pula yg nak movie lain. Btw, ok tak dalam bentuk 3D?

Mmm, sebenarnya takde beza pun. Sebab Titanic wasn't originally made for 3D so bila diorang buat in 3D, effect dia tak berapa menonjol pun. So kalau tak pegi tengok yang ni pun tak rugi. :p

Haha ok, the best part dalam movie ni bila scene old couple yang berpelukan menunggu masa sinking together with the ship. Honestly, walaupun dah beberapa kali tengok memang sure NANGIS!

Yup yup. Memang mengharukan sangat-sangat. The old couple chose to die together after living together for a long time. And there was the scene where a mother trying to get her two children to sleep. OMG that was so so sad! :'(

seriusly sangat suke tengok film Titanic ni..-.-

Hehehe, movie ni memang best sebab ia mengingatkan kita tentang nasib malang 1500 penumpang kapal tu.

Yaaa... memang mengharukan. Suasana yang kelam kabut. Until now, Titanic is still the best movie ever!
